A Message From The Chairman

Dear Members,

I hope this finds you well and you are looking forward to the start of the cricket season. As the Chairman of Brookweald Cricket Club, I would like to take a moment to remind you of the importance of paying your annual subscriptions on time. Annual subscriptions are one of the main sources of income for the club and they are crucial for ensuring its continued survival.

 To give you an idea of the cost of running the club, I would like to refer you to the Google Sheet which I have shared with you. This document provides a detailed breakdown of the expenses that Brookweald will incur for the coming year. As you can see, the total cost of running the club is in excess of £22k. This includes costs for pitch hire, ground maintenance, equipment, insurance, and other miscellaneous expenses. It is important to note that the club receives very little external funding and relies on membership fees and bar sales to cover its costs. Therefore, it is crucial that all members pay their annual subscriptions on time to ensure that we can continue to operate efficiently.

I would like to take this opportunity to remind you that the deadline for payment of annual subscriptions is the 30th of April. If you have not yet paid your subscription, please do so as soon as possible, for those that have paid thank you. You can pay online through the Teamo app or by bank transfer, please note that we have changed banks, details at bottom of this message.

If you have any questions regarding your subscription or would like to discuss any concerns, please do not hesitate to contact me. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated and I look forward to your continued support of Brookweald Cricket Club.

I also want to highlight the importance of our social events such as Andy's Day and the Brookweald Club Day, as they are significant drivers of revenue for the club. We encourage all members to attend and support these events. These events not only provide an opportunity to socialise but also help raise much needed funds.

In addition, we will be running club nights and BBQs after selected fixtures, and your support at these events would also be greatly appreciated. Not only are these events an opportunity to bond with fellow members, but they also help to generate much-needed revenue for the club.

 Finally, I would like to mention that sponsorship is another way to support the club. If you or someone you know would be interested in sponsoring Brookweald, please speak to either Waz or Rob.
