Brookweald vs South Loughton – Brookweald won by 38 runs
A short and sweet report from the South Loughton skipper because this was very much the Balraj Verma show today. A truly fantastic knock, middling everything and still clearing the boundary with 8 people on the line, he led the way with a great 190. Skanda was the only bowler to come away with decent figures as everyone else got some treatment. In reply, SLCC rattled along at 5 an over but were never really in contention. Solid 50’s from Shields, Musti and Saad laid a good platform, but in the end the total was just out of reach. Del Baird bowled with great accuracy and Balraj Verma picked up 3 wickets as Brookweald run out well deserved winners. SLCC look forward to the rematch later in the summer
