Hi {firstName},
Brookweald CC – 2026 Season Update
The 2026 season is just around the corner. There’s a lot happening over the next few weeks as we get things ready both on and off the field.
Please take a few minutes to read through the key updates below.
Working Party – Saturday 11th April (from 10:00am)
This is an important one. We need to get the ground, nets and clubhouse in shape ahead of the season.
Plenty of jobs – no experience needed
The more people we have, the quicker it gets done
We’ll finish up with a curry and a few beers at the bar.
We’ll also have a few players from Western Punjab Clubs (our new Sunday tenants) joining us, which is a good chance to get to know them early.
If you can make it, get down. It makes a real difference.
New Sunday Tenants – Western Punjab Clubs
This season we’ll be hosting Western Punjab Clubs on Sundays.
They come in with a strong setup and proper backing, and as part of the agreement they are contributing to the club, including the donation of a set of roll-on covers for the ground.
They are committed to supporting improvements and will be a positive addition both financially and socially.
Pre-Season Friendlies
We’ve got two fixtures lined up to get things going:
vs Hornchurch Athletic CC — Sat 18 Apr, Weald Road
vs Abridge CC — Sat 25 Apr, Weald Road
League season begins Saturday 2nd May.
2ND XI vs Old Chelmsfordians CC — Sat 2 May, Weald Road
1ST XI at Broomfield CC — Sat 2 May, Brooklands
Subs & Match Fees
Those of you who attended the AGM or who read the minutes will be aware that we made some changes to the Annual Subscriptions and home match fees for this season.
Annual subs: £75
Must be paid before your first league game
Match fees:
£18 – Home
£10 – Away
Payment links will be sent out shortly, please don’t leave this late. Getting subs in early helps with cash flow and planning for the season.
MVP Cricket App (Important Change)
We’re moving away from Teamo and onto MVP Cricket this season.
This will become the central hub for the club:
Fixtures and availability
Matchday selection
Payments (subs and match fees)
Club updates and communication
MVP leaderboard and stats
What you need to do:
Look out for an email over the next couple of weeks
Log in and set your password when prompted
We’ll send a separate, more detailed email on how it works and what to expect.
We’ll continue to share updates in the lead-up to the season, including fixtures, events and key dates.
Make the effort to get involved early — it sets the tone for the season.
See you on the 11th.
